  11. This CD ROM contains six  cartoons captured using state-of-the-
  12. art technology that will provide you with the opportunity of playing the 
  13. movies right on your desktop computer or use them to add spice to your 
  14. presentations.
  15.  
  16. The movies on this disc will play on Macintosh computers as well as 
  17. Windows-based PCs. 
  18.  
  19. The disc contains two different movie types: the Movies on the root have 
  20. been optimized for CD playback in real time with a higher speed
  21. CD-ROM player and the Movies in the "Smaller_Movies" are optimized
  22. for playback on any CD-ROM player.

  27. Running the QuickTime movies:
  28.  
  29. Macintosh:
  30.      To play the QuickTime movies:
  31.      A QuickTime capable Macintosh (any 68020 or greater 
  32.      Macintosh). It will not run on the Macintosh Plus, SE, Classic, or 
  33.      Macintosh Portable.
  34.      QuickTime Init installed (provided on the CD-ROM).
  35.      Double click on any movie you wish to view, click on the play 
  36.      button.

  38. PC/WINDOWS:
  39.      To play the QuickTime movies:
  40.      Windows 3.1 and MSDOS 5.0
  41.      A PC with an 80386SX or higher microprocessor
  42.      4 megabytes of RAM
  43.      VGA, Super VGA, XGA, or compatible color video graphics card
  44.      and color display
  45.      256+ color display recommended.
  46.      
  47.      From the windows program manager, run "INST_QT2.EXE" on the.
  48.      root of the CD-ROM.
  49.      
  50.      From DOS we have supplied a batch file to setup the player.
  51.      Type "install" (install.BAT) at the root of this CD-ROM.
  52.      This starts Windows and installs the player and QuickToons preview.
  53.      You may choose to add your own windows icon (in the program Mgr):
  54.         path to player:  d:\WINDOWS\player.exe ( if you CD-ROM drive 
  55.         letter is d:, otherwise enter the letter of your CD-ROM drive.)
  56.         working directory:  d:\windows
  57.      
  58.      After starting the Movie Player and open a movie (the movies are 
  59.      on the CD-ROM at the root: "\bugs.mov".)
  60.      Playing the movies using the player:  Press the "play" button
  61.      in the lower left side of the player window to start playing the
  62.      movie.  (The "play" button looks like a small, black, left pointing
  63.      triangle.)
  64.      You can stop, restart, or open other movies using the player.

  95. Each of the films contained on QuickToons volumes is in public domain.  
  96. This means the original copyrights pertaining to the film are no longer 
  97. valid.  However, be aware that even though the movies are in the public 
  98. domain, certain trademarks and/or tradenames may be active.  To avoid 
  99. infringing upon any trademarks, you must not use any of the images or 
  100. tradenames in trade.  That is, to produce a product that appears to be 
  101. produced/sponsored/endorsed by any active trademark/tradename is not 
  102. permitted.  Example: producing a coffee mug with an image of a 
  103. trademarked character would confuse the purchaser in believing the mug 
  104. was produced/sponsored/endorsed by the owner of the character.  Most 
  105. QuickTime electronic media productions would not infringe upon any 
  106. trademark/tradename.  Examples:  multimedia presentations, overhead 
  107. presentations, monitor presentations, videowall presentations, video 
  108. teleconferencing, broadcasting, etc.  Other creative uses for these 
  109. clips would include QuickTime textures for 3-Dimensional models, color 
  110. keyed backgrounds for animations, QuickTime movies, etc.

  117. Please read this license agreement carefully, before using this 
  118. software: Purchaser agrees to these terms and conditions by breaking any 
  119. seals.  In this License Agreement, ≡Software≡ shall mean the machine 
  120. readable software program and associated files in this package, and any 
  121. modified version, upgrades and other copies of such programs and files.  
  122. If you do not accept the terms and conditions of this License Agreement, 
  123. do not use this Software and promptly return the Software with proof of 
  124. purchase to Wayzata Technology, Inc. for a refund.  This Software is 
  125. licensed, not sold, to you by Wayzata Technology, Inc. for use only 
  126. under the terms of this License Agreement.

  128. License.  You are granted the non-exclusive license to use this Software 
  129. on only one computer at a time.  The clips embodied in the Software may 
  130. be reproduced and displayed in derivative works for the purpose of media 
  131. presentations which are otherwise in conformance with this License 
  132. Agreement.  You may make one copy of the Software solely for backup 
  133. purposes.  You may not distribute copies of the Software to others or 
  134. electronically transfer the Software from one computer to another over a 
  135. network.

  137. Copyright Restrictions.  You may not reproduce, modify, adapt, 
  138. translate, rent, lease, loan, resell, distribute or create derivative 
  139. works based upon the Software, or any part thereof, for sale or 
  140. distribution to others.  You may not reprint or syndicate the Software, 
  141. or any part thereof, in electronic or printed form, or on merchandise, 
  142. in whole or part, as art, design, or other facsimile.

  144. Trademark, Trade Name and Restrictions Under State Laws. You may not use

  166. State of Minnesota.  If any provision of this License Agreement shall be 
  167. held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the remaining 
  168. provisions of this License Agreement will nevertheless remain in full
